Increase your independence and find your community
Our support groups provide an environment that promotes new friendships in a natural, mainstream community setting. From the community perspective, our support workers present as social peers. We endeavour to protect your public image and provide support discretely if and where desired.
We use invisible supports as our mentors often introduce themselves as regular community members while providing social support. It's the participant's choice to communicate that they have a support worker to other community members.
We build integrated community groups containing a combination of participants and community members and mentors. We avoid disability-specific groups and focus on supporting your connection with others who share your interests in your community.
Our goal is to support participants to create supportive and encouraging relationships with community members who share their interests and values, promoting connection and a sense of belonging.

We recognise the objectives of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. We also acknowledge the traditional indigenous peoples of Australia and their connection to the land and sea. We pay our respects to them and their cultures, and to elders past and present.
